An Intensive SEO Workshop // BUSINESS 590

Byrne Hobart, Co-Founder / CEO, Digital Due Diligence

Saturday, July 23rd from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Search Engine Optimization: it's not a marketing cure-all. It's not the province of spammers and content farmers. It is a great way to get the most out other marketing channels. Learn how awesome companies like AirBNB, OKCupid, and Mint used SEO to get the visitors they wanted, at a minimal marginal cost. This course focuses on fitting SEO into an existing marketing framework, including:

  • How to get the most traffic possible from your PR.
  • How to score more social media attention--and better rankings.
  • Optimizing your landing page copy for humans and bots.
  • Avoiding the big SEO traps.
  • Understanding the costs and benefits of gray-hat and black-hat techniques.
  • When to do it yourself, when to outsource, and when to hire someone full-time.

Byrne Hobart is the Co-Founder & CEO of Digital Due Diligence. Most recently Director of Marketing Strategy at Blue Fountain Media, where he focused on search engine optimization and pay-per-click strategies. He has been cited by the New York Times, the National Review, the New York Observer, Radio Free Europe, Voice of Russia, and TechCrunch, and has been published in Business Insider. He spoke at Search Marketing Expo West in March of 2011 on “The Economics of Content Farms.”
